This position is part of the Office of Budget and Performance Management and will help turn complex budget, performance, service, and organizational information into clear messages, reports, presentations, stories, and engagement materials.

This position will build on that foundation by helping the County explain its work more clearly, gather useful feedback, and support employee and community understanding of major initiatives.
This is a hands-on engagement and communications role for someone who can write clearly, work across departments, listen well, and help make performance information easier to understand and use.
You will help the County answer practical questions such as:
- What do employees, residents, and departments need to understand?
- How do we explain services, priorities, and results clearly?
- What feedback are we hearing?
- How can we make performance information useful to different audiences?
- How do we help people understand changes, initiatives, and improvement efforts?
You will:
- Develop employee and community engagement approaches related to County priorities, services, performance, and improvement efforts.
- Help departments explain initiatives, results, service changes, and improvement efforts in clear, plain language.
- Prepare reports, presentations, summaries, case studies, web content, talking points, and other materials that explain performance and service information.
- Support annual performance reports, progress reports, scorecards, dashboards, executive briefings, and public-facing materials.
- Conduct interviews, listening sessions, focus groups, and feedback activities to better understand employee, resident, business, and department perspectives.
- Support employee, citizen, and business surveys, including planning, communication, analysis, reporting, and follow-up.
- Partner with the Communications and Media Department to align messages, coordinate timing, and identify the best channels for different audiences.
- Work with departments to improve understanding, participation, and follow-through on major initiatives and improvement efforts.
- Help prepare materials for leadership discussions, employee sessions, department meetings, and public information efforts.
- Perform other work as required.
This role is focused on helping the County explain performance, services, priorities, and results in a way people can understand and use.
