Novant Health is seeking a Nurse Manager to lead clinical teams within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, staff scheduling, and performance, ensuring high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care. Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing and clinical staff, providing coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
Develop and manage staffing plans and schedules to maintain appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios and adequate coverage.
Oversee budget and resource utilization, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining necessary supplies, equipment, and technology.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards of practice, and regulatory/accreditation requirements, including Joint Commission and CMS standards.
Monitor and improve clinical quality, patient safety, and patient satisfaction metrics through data-driven performance improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and resolve clinical and operational issues.
Support and lead unit-based quality improvement, patient safety, and evidence-based practice projects.
Facilitate effective communication within the unit, addressing staff concerns, promoting teamwork, and fostering a positive, inclusive work culture.
Lead or support implementation of new clinical workflows, technologies, and organizational initiatives, applying effective change management strategies.

Previous experience in nurse leadership or charge nurse role
Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS)
Experience with EHR systems and clinical informatics preferred
